Follow the water
From Verona House, make your way to Bellevue, then follow the bay to Tramsheds.
Bellevue to Tramsheds · Allow 60–90 minutes with stops
Begin at Bellevue
Find the historic house at 55–57 Leichhardt Street, beside Blackwattle Bay Park. It is home to Bellevue Cottage by Antoine; book ahead if you would like brunch before your walk. Pause to look across the water.
Follow the foreshore
Take the public waterside path around Glebe Point towards the end of Glebe Point Road. Look for views of the Anzac Bridge and the bays.
Continue into the parklands
Follow the shoreline towards Bicentennial Park, then turn inland towards Jubilee Park. Choose a bench or a patch of lawn for a break.
Finish at Tramsheds
Follow signed pedestrian routes towards Jubilee Park light rail and Dalgal Way. Tramsheds is a useful place to finish with something to eat.
Timing is a relaxed planning estimate for the waterfront stretch; add time to reach Bellevue and return to Verona House. Follow local signs and any diversions. Paths are shared, and street approaches can be steep. Check access details if you need a step-free route.

Industrial heritage
Tramsheds
1 Dalgal Way, Forest Lodge
A former tram depot converted into a dining and shopping precinct. The industrial setting makes a pleasing change from Glebe’s terrace-lined streets, especially at the end of a park walk.
Look around before choosing somewhere to eat. Individual businesses set their own opening hours.
For the Fish Market, use the new Bridge Road address. Wentworth Park and Glebe are nearby L1 light rail stops.

Have breakfast at Dirty Red, explore Glebe Markets from 10 am and browse Gleebooks. In the afternoon, try the waterfront walk. Reserve Glebe Point Diner or No 92 for dinner, or finish with a glass of wine in Sappho’s courtyard.
A rainy day
Art and a long lunch
Browse Gleebooks, then visit the Chau Chak Wing Museum. If you prefer contemporary art, choose White Rabbit in Chippendale on one of its opening days. Leave time for a leisurely lunch.

A few practical details for an easier stay.
Find your bearings
Verona House is at 224 Glebe Point Road. Head towards Broadway for the markets and Gleebooks, or towards Glebe Point for the bays and waterfront parks.
Walk comfortably
Bring water and sun protection for a longer foreshore walk. Streets between the main road and the water can be hilly.
Take the light rail
The L1 Dulwich Hill Line links Central with Glebe and Jubilee Park. Use the Transport for NSW trip planner for departures and service changes.
Tap on and off
Use an Opal card or an accepted contactless card or device. Tap on and off with the same one: a phone and its physical bank card count separately. Payment information.
Pick up essentials
Broadway Sydney, 1 Bay Street, has shopping, dining, services and a cinema. Check the centre directory to find the store you need.
Plan your return
For a taxi or rideshare home, use Verona House, 224 Glebe Point Road, Glebe. Check evening transport before a late meal. Directions back to Verona House.

A neighbourhood with a story
Look a little closer
Glebe takes its name from land granted to the Anglican Church in 1789. Its waterfront later became a place of timber yards and industry. Community campaigning helped turn that shoreline into the public parks and paths enjoyed today.
